Our food manifesto clearly states “we firmly believe in starting your day deliciously…it determines the whole rest of your day”. These days I’m finding myself making the most simple of recipes.I love looking at all those delicious raw recipes in my books, and online, but right now i just don’t have time…so I’m into what I would call ‘lazy cooking’, or simple recipes for those who simply don’t have time…especially in the morning! Due to breastfeeding my new baby ( blissful moments, yet a full time occupation… hence the lack of time!) I have been forced to cut cacao from my daily breakfast ritual- although I miss it- this restriction has brought about new a found inspiration. It was hard to believe how absolutely dreamy, healthy recipes can be… even without chocolate!
Milky Way Smoothie
For 1 liter -Family Size
1 ttbsp. Lucuma powder
500 ml. Almond mylk
500 ml. Hemp mylk ( 1 /4 cup hemp seeds blended with filtered water till it gets milky- no need to sieve)
1 Vanilla pod
I’m not trying to give this smoothie a pretentious, spiritual name … I’ve actually named it after a body cream called ‘sacred temple’ which has cardamom and coconut and smells good enough to eat. That lotion was my muse for this breakfast smoothie…If I could eat this wonderful lotion I would want it to taste like this luscious smoothie
Sacred Temple Smoothie
1 Cardamom pod
1tsp. Coconut Butter
1/2 liter Almond mylk
This literally tastes like candy… Faster to make than even the smoothie, a lazy breakfast special!
Healthy Candy (1 bowl)
5 dates (pitted)
1 tbsp Almond butter
1 tbsp Goji berries
1 tbsp coconut flakes
Either cut the dates with a knife or if you are feeling particularly lazy or are in a hurry tear by hand. Add goji berries, pour almond butter, and sprinkle the coconut flakes…Enjoyyy

1 whole watermelon – seeded
3or4 cucumbers depending on size peeled
Add salt, honey, basil, mint to taste.
Add diced cucumber at the end.
4 frozen ripe bananas
1 tbsp. spirulina powder
1 tbsp. honey or agave or stevia ( or omit completely bananas are sweet enough for me…)
Garnish with fresh or frozen blueberries
2 cups peeled pineapple and frozen
1/2 peeled cucumber
1 1/2 cups cold water
