Big Happy Family and Troō Food Liberation present a special screening of “Food, Inc.”, the 2009 Oscar-nominated documentary… followed by dancing with DJ Roth Fitz. Screening starts at 22.00.
Food, Inc., lifts the veil on the American (and increasingly global) food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the consumer with the consent of government regulatory agencies. The food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of farmers, the safety of workers and our own environment.
This is a 2-part celebration: first we get fired up about food and the deterioration of its sacred status in global society, and then we wash off our anger and stress in euphoric and eclectic beats from all corners of the globe!
