Açaí Cacao Smoothie

This is the smoothie of the week – so simple and so delicious.

Another Almond Mylk based smoothie, this time with:

4 glasses of cold Almond Mylk
1 tbsp. Troo Food Cacao
1 tsp. Açaí Berry powder *
1 tsb. Carob powder
6 dates

*Açaí Berry is a superfruit that has been used for centuries by the natives of Brazil. The antioxidant content of açai berries is truly remarkable, here are just a few as cited from David Wolfe’s new book “Superfoods”:

  • Contains 19 amino acids necessary for building healthy proteins throughout the body.
  • Rich in vitamins and minerals,especially calcium,phosphorus,beta-carotene, & vitamin E.
  • Excellent source of dietary fiber (aids in digestion).

    I have actually substituted this for my morning coffee… I was dubious before starting because everytime Icut out coffee I get a miserable migraine…not with the cacao smoothie, I’m hooked.
